This design was created with just this purpose in mind! LOVE beautiful towels but despair over those darn "pokies" that distract from the beauty of a design? Well this ones solves this problem beautifully!!!
As an applique the problem is solved with this simple application! Not only is the difficult nap fully covered to ensure a picture perfect result ,but you also enjoy a lofted effect of the stitch free towel area, adding to it's elegant effect!
Quick TIP : For easy peasy applique trimming on towels, place a piece of water soluble stabilizer down beneath your fabric when starting your applique. This provides a clean surface to trim your fabric on, and protect your scissors from grabbing your towel nap! Then just wet away the WSS (water soluble stabilizer) when you are done!
Also note: If your base fabric is dark I recommend placing a white fabric beneath the organza to assure the colors will show through pleasingly.
