Shofar and Star of David
4x4 & 5x7
The shofar is a beautiful symbol steeped in religious history. Found in the Hebrew books of the Torah and the books of the Old Testament, the shofar was traditionally used as a call to assembly and a call to arms for the Jewish people.
Today it's use continues ceremonially in association with the many Jewish festivals, observed by the Jewish community and also by Christians who revere the Jewish roots of their faith, and by Messianic Jews as well.
The shofar is most notably associated with Rosh Hashanah, as a memorial of blowing the ram's horn on the first of Tishri , the beginning of the Hebrew new year. It is also sounded at the close of Yom Kippur, and other sacred festivals and feasts.
